Madarao or Madapow offers great Powder Snow & not yet a mainstream ski area. With our Powder Belt Pass you can also ride the neighbouring ski resorts of Nozawa Onsen & Myoko Kogen. We will be there to host your Madarao snow package.

ABOUT MADARAO
Valid for 4 Mountain and 3 Ski Regions. This pass offers great flexibility to ride the Powder Belt of Japan. Madarao is centrally located between both Nozawa Onsen and Myoko Kogen (All approx 25 minutes shuttle either side of Madarao ). All transfers can be organised at Hotel Madarao and you can decide where to ride on a daily basis. Madarao and Myoko have over 13m of snow falling annually and impressive snow walls on the drive in set the scene. The Madarao and Tangram combined lift pass offers 23 lifts and caters for beginner runs to advance powder tree skiing. Myoko 25 minutes down the road offers even more terrain and fresh tracks. Located 2 hours from Hakuba and 2 hours from Tokyo on a bullet train, makes a skiing at Madarao easily accessible. Come and experience a Madarao ski package with Oz Snow!

HOTEL MADARAO POWDER PACKS
Newly refurbished in 2020 the hotel is 400m from the Madarao ski lifts and is walking distance to all the restaurants in Madarao village. The accommodation has an onsite bar that serves western food, onsite ski hire and ski locker room. The rooms are mainly ensuited and can cater for couples, families, single travellers and groups. A well appointed modern hotel with forest views, Hotel Madarao offers everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The Hotel Madarao is centrally located in Madarao Village. The Hotel offers a budget option for those wanting to hit up the slopes of Madarao as well as easy access Nozawa Onsen, Tangram and Myoko . All Transfers can be organised at Hotel Madarao reception and you can decide where you want to ride on a daily basis.
Itinerary
ARRIVAL DAY – PICK UP AT MADARAO BUS STOP
On arrival in Madarao, your Oz Snow host will meet you at the bus stop and transfer you to Hotel Madarao. You will be issued with your room numbers and any pre-paid lift tickets as well as stop by our ski shop to collect your pre-booked equipment. This is also a good opportunity to purchase any discounted ski equipment.
SKI DAYS -BREAKFAST
Kick start your days and power up with a bite to eat with included Continental breakfast starting at 7.30am.
Please see reception to book in the days you would like to go to Myoko and Nozawa Onsen. The other days the Madarao ski resort is 400m from your accommodation.
DINNER
Get to know the gang in Madarao with an included group dinner of local Japanese cuisine. Make sure you see
reception to find out what day your included dinner is. For all the other nights you can eat in at the accommodation or
take a short stroll into town to try some other Japanese meals
SKIING
Take advantage of the massive powder dumps Madarao, Myoko and Nozawa Onsen are renowned for. With an average snowfall of over 13m per season, get your shred on and experience the terrain of Madarao, Myoko and Nozawa Onsen.
DEPARTURE DAY
On your last day in Madarao you will be transferred to the bullet train station at Iiyama. Allowing you to spend time in Tokyo or continue onto the airport.

Japan isn’t all about the skiing. There is a whole lot of culture, food, language and good times to soak up. That’s why we give you guys the option of getting amongst what Japan has to offer, and lets be serious, your legs will need a rest after some glorious Japanese powder. For any other on ground requirements ask our guides when you get to Hakuba who would be happy to help. They speak English and Japanese and have over 15 collective years experience in Japan.

All equipment for your Madarao ski package can be arranged and purchased after you arrive in Japan with the Oz Snow crew at our Madarao accommodation. We have a rental shop onsite.
